Shinal Group is one of the largest asphalt producers and road paving contractors in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The Group has supplied and operated a wide range of modern plants and equipment aimed at enhancing the region’s overall development capacity, particularly in Duhok Governorate.
These plants collectively have delivered more than 10,000,000 square meters of asphalt for various projects across Iraq. The facilities are operated by highly experienced engineering and technical teams, utilizing advanced German and Italian road construction equipment.
A German-manufactured AMMANN Speedy Batch asphalt plant, model 2013, with a production capacity of approximately 240 tons per hour, located in Baadre District – Sheikhan Area, on the Duhok–Erbil Road.
The plant is characterized by high precision and full control over asphalt mix quality, including temperature regulation and accurate mix proportions. The entire production process is managed through an advanced electronic control system operated from a centralized control room.
A German-manufactured Ammann speedy batch asphalt plant, model 2014, with a production capacity of approximately 240 tons per hour, located in Batil district on the Duhok–Zakho road. The plant is operated by experienced engineering and technical teams, with full computerized control over production quality.
In addition to the main asphalt plants, Shinal Group owns two asphalt emulsion plants, each attached to the Sheikhan and Batil plants. The plants are Turkish-manufactured TEKNOMAK, model 2013, with a production capacity of approximately 15 tons per hour. They are used to produce asphalt emulsion materials for road preparation, as well as Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) through a special fiber-addition unit, all managed via a fully centralized electronic control system.
Karbend Oil Refinery is located in the Kashi Industrial Area, Duhok Governorate, with an estimated investment of approximately USD 50 million. The refinery specializes in the production and refining of petroleum products to meet the region’s energy needs.
The refinery plays a vital role in supporting energy security and economic development and is considered one of the key strategic assets in the refining sector.
